Terry G. Forrest, age 82, of Quincy, Illinois, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 18, 2021.

He was born on December 4, 1938, in Quincy, the son of Floyd and Ruby Eileen (Tieken) Forrest.

Terry married Donna (Cookson) Lollar, on June 16, 1991. Together they shared many happy years of marriage, and she survives. Terry dedicated 26 years of service to Moorman Manufacturing before retiring in 1994. He was of the Christian faith.

A true outdoorsman, Terry found joy in hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time in nature. He enjoyed building birdhouses and was a talented tinkerer who always had a project underway. He also loved to dance and treasured the time he spent with family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Donna Forrest of Quincy; his children, Steven (Paula) Forrest of Quincy, and Lisa Childress of Canton, Missouri; his son-in-law, Jerry Lear of Quincy; his stepson, Timothy Pollock of Quincy; seven grandchildren, one step-grandchild, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Carol (Jim) Huebner; his daughter, Cheryl Lear, and his stepchildren, Kenny Gilker, Johnny Lollar and Russell Gilker, Jr.

In keeping with Terry's wishes, cremation rites were accorded.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Graymount Cemetery in Coatsburg, Illinois. Rev. Larry Smith will officiate. Family and friends are invited to attend as they gather to honor and remember Terry's life.
