Julia K. Selsor, 68, of Clayton, Illinois, passed away at 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

Julia was born on September 9, 1958, in Quincy, Illinois, a daughter of Richard W. and Mary Louise (Wiemelt) Selsor. She graduated from Quincy High School in 1976. Julia owned and operated Bayview Fish and Ice in Quincy for many years. She also worked at Wiemelt Bait & Tackle in Quincy and the Loraine gas station.

She was a member of the Loraine Community Church and the Community for Christ Outreach Center in Camp Point, Illinois. Julia enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening, tending her flowers and plants, and riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles. She was crowned Safe Boating Queen from the Northside Boat Club.

Survivors include her son, Melvin (Stacey) Linder II of Mendon, Illinois; two grandchildren, Jordan (Taylor) Payne of Ursa, Illinois and Reed Linder of Mendon; a great-granddaughter, Ava Payne; two brothers, Richard “Rick” Selsor (Tammy) of Quincy and Lee Selsor of Oldsmar, Florida; and her bonus daughters, Brooke Bonar & Shalea Bonar both of Quincy, Illinois. Along with many loving nieces, a nephew, great nieces & nephews and other relatives and friends

She was preceded in death by her parents and her former husband, Melvin Linder.

Funeral services for Julia will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Loraine Community Church, with the Rev. Larry Menschell officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00. Burial will follow at Curless Cemetery near Loraine, Illinois.
