MENDON, Ill. -- Donald D. Quigg, 68, of Mendon, died Thursday (June 18, 2015) at his home.
Don was born March 11, 1947, in Quincy, a son of Charles Leroy and Laura Katherine Bower Quigg.
Don graduated from Unity High School in Mendon and Quincy College.
He was the owner of Q Service in Mendon. He was a farmer and Mendon Township tax assessor.
Don was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Mendon and the Unity Sportsman Club. He enjoyed trap shooting, traveling, snowmobiling and four-wheeler riding.
Surviving are his companion, Ann Schafer of Mendon; two cousins, Connie (Gary) Tilleros of Waterford, Wis., and Jerene Woodard of Mount Laurel, N.J.; one aunt, Ruth Witt of Quincy; and five honorary grandchildren, Luke and Drew Muegge, Cole Klauser, Will Corrigan, and Jaelyn and Jeran Parrick.
SERVICES: 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at the Hunter Funeral Home at Mendon, with the Rev. Patrick Monroe officiating. Interment will be in Mendon Cemetery.
VISITATION: 10 a.m. until services Saturday at the funeral home.
MEMORIALS: Salem Lutheran Church or the Unity Sportsman Club.
