Cathy Walsh

Cathy Marie Walsh, 65, of Loraine, passed away peacefully at 11:54 am on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

She was born on January 28, 1959, in Quincy, the daughter of the late William & Virginia (Daniels) Meyer. Cathy married Tom Walsh on August 31, 1974, in Palmyra, Missouri and he survives.

Cathy was a homemaker for most of her life. She and Tom owned and operated Loraine Auto Parts for a number of years. She enjoyed being outdoors. In her earlier years, she worked with tooled leather as a hobby. Above all, Cathy loved to be with her family and enjoyed her time with them; especially time spent with her grandchildren.  

In addition to her husband of 50 years; Tom, Cathy is survived by two sons; Tommy (Angie) Walsh of Loraine & Chris Walsh of Loraine, a daughter; Holly (Matt) Ehmen of Loraine, seven grandchildren; Thomas, James, Kayden, Khloe, Emma, Dylan & Ava, a sister; Linda (Ralph) Gallaher of Loraine and by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry, Bill & Gary Meyer and by a sister; Jackie Puff.

Funeral services honoring Cathy’s life will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the Triplett Funeral Home of Mendon. Interment will follow at New Loraine Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Cathy are suggested to the Blessing Foundation-Cancer Fund.
