He was born on December 3, 1962, in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Raymond “Jim” and Charlotte (Bruenger) Shupe. Allen graduated from Quincy High School with the Class of 1982.

Allen worked at Transitions for many years as a dedicated supervisor and trainer, where he guided and mentored countless colleagues with patience, expertise, and quiet leadership. His commitment to helping others grow left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to work alongside him.

He followed every game with enthusiasm, celebrating the highs and enduring the lows with steadfast support. He also took great pleasure in following the racing careers of Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr., admiring their skill, determination, and legendary presence on the track.

Above all, Allen cherished time with family and friends. Whether gathered around the table, watching a game, or simply sharing stories, he brought warmth and good humor to every moment.

He will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, unwavering loyalty, and genuine love of sports and simple pleasures.Allen’s presence brightened the lives of all who knew him.
